Found !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! earlier this morning...

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

17x7 VW OEM Classix that came on 2006 GLIs... with Pirelli P Zero Nero ultra high performance all season tires!

Hm I wonder how those tires are... MOTHER OF GOD that is expensive!

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.js…

So, should I get them or not? They are 54mm offset so if I want them to look right I'll be getting 15mm spacers for the front and 20mm for the rears so they'll look flush.

Run them, but don't space them out. Google "wheel spacer failure" to see why you shouldn't run autocross with spacers.

The trick is having the correct length studs (or lug bolts in my case)

Fair enough. 99% of failures are caused by the user, anyways.

I looked it up on the 'Vette forums and NASIOC (Subaru) forums and they say if you extend the studs (or bolts in my case) it should be fine!

Yay!

Went to the guy's house, decided on something else...

Kinja'd!!!

17"x7.5" VW Denvers! (they will also be fresh repainted)

The guy agreed to pull the Pirellis off the Classix and pull the Continentals off the Denvers and we could mount and balance the Pirellis on the Denvers ourselves...

Fine by me considering that for $450 USD I'm getting a set of freshly repainted Denvers with brand new Pirellis :P

Hopefully picking them up this week!

The Denvers came off a wrecked 2009 GTI...

The Classix came off a wrecked 2006 GLI...

He's rebuilding the GTI and is putting it on 18x7.5 Detroits

He scrapped the GLI after taking all the useful bits off

That's what he did. He works on VWs in his spare time. He is also one of my dad's old friends (it really is a small world lol)
